Farewell to the Hacker
Searching for a system loophole and fixing one were two completely different things.
Verification was simple when looking for a system loophole. As long as the system loophole was found, all he had to do was to notify the government of the loophole as well as the method used to invade the system. Once the government tested the method on their system, the system loophole would then be verified and confirmed.
However, repairing the system loophole was not so simple.
Although repairing the system loophole wasn’t a difficult task for Chu Tian, it could not be easily repaired by the government.
It was the same reason. When repairing a system loophole, there was a possibility of creating another loophole in the system.
Therefore, the government needed time to verify whether Chu Tian’s had successfully repaired the system loophole.
They had to make sure that no other loopholes were created as a result of repairing this one. That could only be considered restoring the eastern wall by compromising the western wall, this could not be considered as being restored.
This was why, although it had already been a couple of days, Chu Tian had yet to receive the money he should be receiving for restoring those 13 system loopholes.
He wondered if he would receive his money today.
Wang Xiaofeng said that he had no choice but to follow the government’s speed, but the money was transferred to Chu Tian’s account within ten minutes of him receiving his message.
Wang Xiaofeng, “Brother Shadow, as usual, go and collect the money yourself. Also, there is no need to pay any bonus.”
Looking at the messages Wang Xiaogfeng sent to him, the corners of Chu Tian’s lips lifted.
The money was finally in!
The money had finally arrived after he had waited for so many days.
Without replying to the messages, Chu Tian continued typing on his keyboard, opening a black window on his screen before he continued typing again.
Ten minutes later!
After he had transferred the full amount of 65 million into his bank account, the corners of Chu Tian’s lips lifted again.
His savings had finally exceeded 100 million!
The remaining balance in his e-wallet was 6.78 million.
The balance in his bank account was 136.35 million.
In total, it was 143.13 million.
Of course, it was not the entirety of his assets but only the amount of money currently on Chu Tian. He still had a bar and a milk tea shop. He had invested about 40 million in the bar in total and about 10 million in the milk tea shop.
Besides, Chu Tian had yet to calculate the profits he had earned from the milk tea shop. The profits from the milk tea shop were not in his current account but in another account specially made for the milk tea shop. However, it hadn’t exceeded a few hundred thousand yet.
After he briefly calculated his current assets, Chu Tian took a deep breath with a smile on his face before he mumbled to himself, “Farewell, hacker’s forum. It’s time for me to change my profession, go ahead and be amongst yourselves.”
With that, Chu Tian sent Wang Xiaofeng a private message.
“Brother Wang, the mountains will remain unchanged and the river will continue to flow*. I
have decided to stop being a hacker so farewell, I’m sure we’ll meet again someday.”
(T/N*: To put simply, Chu Tian wanted to say goodbye without any hard feelings.)
(PR/N damn that was pretty)
After sending that message, Chu Tian went to this account settings and chose to wipe off his account.
With that press of the button, “A Handsome Man Who Doesn’t Want to be Named” disappeared from the forums as if he had never existed in the first place, leaving absolutely nothing behind.
Although it was profitable to work with the government, Chu Tian had no intention of working with them in the long term.
That was because his identity as a hacker was somewhat sensitive.
An ordinary man is guileless, but a person’s talent will arouse the suspicion and envy of others.
If his identity was discovered, the government would definitely watch every single move he made. And it would not be temporary but continue for the rest of his life.
As for now, he had already earned enough and his current situation was good. His milk tea shop had much potential and his bar would be opened for business soon.
Although he could not be considered rich while doing business in an advanced city such as Haicheng, at the very least, he did not have to worry about not having money anymore.
That was why he had already thought it through a few days ago. He had decided to bid farewell to his profession as a hacker once he had received this last sum of money.
Just as Chu Tian deleted his hacker account at his computer, Bai Xiaochun suddenly appeared at his door with her hair loose, long hair, peeking into the room with a grin on her face.
When their eyes met, Bai Xiaochun asked her boyfriend with a smile plastered on her face, “What are you doing?”
“Huh?” Chu Tian asked innocently, “Pretty lady, were you talking to me?”
Bai Xiaochun chuckled. She entered the room directly in her pyjamas and bare feet, “Are you angry?”
“I’m not.” Chu Tian said faintly, “I was only envious of Rongrong’s boyfriend. Her boyfriend must be feeling blessed, to have Rongrong rushing to his place overnight the moment he said he missed her. Sigh, how lucky, he must feel really blessed to have such a girlfriend.”
“Stop acting.” Bai Xiaochun giggled and hit Chu Tian, “Don’t think I don’t know what you’re thinking by saying that.”
“Should we not?” Chu Tian said, “I’m your boyfriend.”
Bai Xiaochun bit on her lips with a smile and said, “I guess you’re right, then what should we do?”
“I don’t know.” Chu Tian turned his head away and said, “My girlfriend is too wild, I can’t control her anyway. She can do whatever she wants.”
Seeing that, Bao Xiaochun tried to control her smile as she replied, “Look at you being such a hoodlum. Alright, it is time for bed.”
As she said that, Bai Xianchun climbed onto Chu Tian’s bed directly.
